The Greenville VA Health Care Center (HCC) opened in January 2014.
It houses primary care, specialty care, mental health, prosthetics, women's health, audiology, optometry, dental, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory services, and physical/occupational-therapy services.
The Greenville HCC plans to add procedures such as endoscopy in 2015.
The Greenville HCC serves 10,000 patients and has a rapidly growing patient base.
The Greenville HCC enjoys a growing partnership with East Carolina University.
Greenville is home to 27,000 students who attend East Carolina University (ECU).
ECU offers a wide range of cultural and sporting events, including musical concerts, theatrical and dance productions, travel films and lectures.
The Greenville Museum of Art displays local art, as well as rotating exhibitions.
Theater performances are also beginning to emerge in Greenville.
Local groups such as the Greenville Theater Project and the Magnolia Arts Center offer outlets for both performers and audiences alike.
Many restaurants offer live entertainment on weekends.
Uptown Greenville is a non-profit revitalization project that promotes numerous events in the downtown district.
One of the most anticipated annual events in the downtown area of Greenville is the large annual Halloween street party.
Greenville is located 80 miles from the Crystal Coast Beaches, including Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, historic Beaufort and Morehead City.
We are also within commuting distance of the waterfront towns of Washington and New Bern.
Greenville is also located 80 miles east of the capital city, Raleigh.
The Morehead City CBOC is located in Morehead City, NC.
It is the largest town in Carteret County and is located on the coast of North Carolina, enjoying a temperate climate with ready access to some of the most beautiful beaches.
There are various museums and historic sites to explore as well as shopping and dining on the Morehead City Waterfront.
The Morehead City CBOC serves 4,600 patients and provides primary care, mental health, tele-health services, and optometry.
Tour of Duty:
Monday-Saturday, 8 hour tours between the hours of 7:
00 am - 6:
00 pm.
The Morehead City CBOC maintains the health and manages the care for patients with a variety of medical problems including hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, congestive heart failure and other chronic diseases.
The clinic is designed to provide comprehensive primary care services, including gender specific care to male and female veterans.
The clinic is staffed by providers (physicians, mid-level providers, and/or house staff), registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and medical support assistants.
Group and individual diabetes education is offered by a Certified Diabetes Educator RN and a Registered Dietician.
An RN/LPN has an encounter with patients on each visit for screening, education and referrals.
Using protocols, nursing staff can order tests, lab work, enter consult requests and administer immunizations.
The PT/INR Clinic is a Nurse/Pharmacy run anticoagulation clinic, which is available to provide care and monitoring for stable patients receiving anti-coagulation therapy.
Medication management is provided by the clinical Pharmacist.
Nurse visits provide care for patient issues not requiring a provider appointment, such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar monitoring, medication administration, immunizations, ear irrigations and education related to disease/self-management and equipment.
The LPN will work under the direction of the RN and report to the Nurse Manager.
He or she will perform, report and record assigned nursing care in all area of the Morehead City CBOC to include the laboratory and Primary Care, mental health, PT/INR,and telehealth to include, but not limited to:
1.
Completing phlebotomy procedures in the lab 2.
Assisting with minor procedures, including obtaining and arranging necessary equipment, positioning patients, ensuring comfort and privacy - monitoring patients during the procedure 3.
Provision of direct nursing care to patients with an emphasis on patient teaching, care coordination and interventions such EKGs and phlebotomy 4.
Documentation of care activities 5.
Perform procedures, treatments and delegated tasks 6.
Medication administration and oxygen therapy 7.
Clinical reminders with appropriate consults and alerts as indicated 8.
Cleaning and reprocessing of reusable medical equipment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
