We are looking to grow and build our leadership team by adding in a Director of Operations.
The Director of Operations of First Methodist Church serves the Lord and builds up His Church as a godly leader, equipper and administrator.
This person promotes the vision of First Methodist Church, gives leadership to the Staff and Ministry Teams, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the church.

Summary:
Staff LeadershipGuide, equip, and encourage the staffPlan for and facilitate staff meetings and activities in collaboration with the Senior PastorOversee staff practices including recruitment & hiring, onboarding & training, and performance management & annual reviews.
Handle Benefits such as pension and health insurance.
Supports the work of the Staff Parish Relations Committee with the Senior PastorFinanceGive leadership to the Finance Committee developing tools and reports for monthly supervision of the church's gifts and expensesOversee the recording of giving (accounts receivable) by the Office Manager and expenses by Rogers CPADevelop an Annual Report of Giving and Ministry in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and Director of CommunicationsDevelop and Implement an Annual Program of Generosity (pledges)FacilityGive leadership to the Board of TrusteesOversee scheduling and use of facility in collaboration with the Office Manager and Facilities ManagerOversee maintenance, vendors, and purchasesAssist in the development and oversight of technology (computers, internet, cameras)MinistrySupports the work of the Church Council, participating in ministry vision, strategy, and implementationQualifications Needed:
Several years of leadership experienceAlignment with the mission of the churchAble to join the church body and be in attendance at services on SundayStrong communication skillsExpert in using spreadsheets, streamlining processesJob Details:
Job Duties are mostly carried out Monday-Friday but some evening meetings and Sunday involvementFlexibility of schedulingWill work out of the church office in Morehead CityReports to the Senior PastorWill lead a team of ministry staffSalary:
$55k-$70k
